There is a lot to be excited about here at uniQure. We have a 26 year legacy in developing AAV-delivered gene therapies; securing the first approved gene therapy in the western world, we had the first commercially licensed gene therapy manufacturing facility and we have developed the first gene silencing therapy for Huntington’s Disease to gain RMAT designation.
We are focused on advancing four clinical programs, driving innovation for indications that can achieve clinical Proof of Concept and enabling technology investments focused on novel CNS capsids and next-generation cargo for AAV delivery.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Investor Relations will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing uniQure’s investor relations strategy with a focus on securing uniQure’s appropriate valuation and global market position as a leader in the gene therapy space.
The Head of Investor Relations will establish and maintain relationships with investors, analysts and shareholders to drive awareness and understanding of uniQure’s strategic mission. They will act as a key spokesperson for uniQure internally and externally.
Key result areas (major duties, accountabilities and responsibilities)
Lead the Investor Relations function to develop and implement comprehensive investor relations strategies, initiatives and programs
Work in close collaboration with the CEO, CFO, CLO and other executive leaders
Serve as the primary corporate liaison for uniQure with investors, analysts and the broader financial community
Develop and implement an effective narrative and strategy for quarterly and annual results, including the development of financial results press releases, conference call scripts, slide presentations, road show materials, key messages, Q&A, briefing materials and other related content to be used with both internal and external stakeholders including the financial community, patient advocacy communities and media
Lead the preparation of investor materials including earnings calls, SEC filings, ESG, IR Board reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance
Establish a strategic targeting program to attract new investors and sell-side analysts, while maintaining relationships with existing key investors and analysts
Remain informed, analyze and proactively respond to market trends, industry peer activities and shareholder feedback
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, in communications related discipline, Masters of Business Administration degree strongly preferred
15+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a focus on investor relations and corporate affairs
In-depth knowledge of the biotechnology rare disease sector is essential, gene or cell therapy desirable
Strategic thinker with proven experience taking projects from concept to implementation
Exceptional verbal and written communications and presentation skills
Demonstrated experience of financial modeling, with strong quantitative and analytical skills that includes business administration, equity and debt investing
A proven track record of developing productive relationships with the investment community
Demonstrated experience in effectively collaborating with executives and senior leaders
A proactive, strategic approach to communications
A professional, outgoing personality with a high level of energy, a strong work ethic, resourcefulness and flexibility with the ability to perform under pressure
