Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Machine Learning) Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML (or related field) and 10+ years of experience Proven experience in leading or managing machine learning/AI teams, with a track record of successful project delivery Work closely with data scientists, engineers, researchers, and product managers to implement AI/ML solutions into Display Ad Serving platform Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, machine learning, etc. Excellent communication skills and a great teammate; collaboration with data science team Experience in Java, Scala, Object Oriented & Functional Programming, Design Patterns Experience in coding and implementing scalable solutions in a large-scale distributed eco-system with Cloud Technologies like Azure and GCP Experience in Apache Hadoop, Map-reduce, Apache Spark, and in messaging Systems as Kafka Strong expertise in designing and building scalable APIs & cloud native microservices with integration with ML models Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area 2 years’ supervisory experience Responsibilities

A successful person in this role will own major components of the display advertising solution, drive alignment with other teams, guide architecture and technology choices within the team and across WMC Design & develop highly scalable services and solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology Gain exposure to various emerging technologies used in Marketing and Advertising on Walmart E-commerce platforms Provide technical direction, architecture leadership and expertise to the team Lead by example Drive projects of high visibility across the organization Benefits
