$75 - $83 per hour Job Summary: The Google Cloud Staff Platform Engineer will take a leading role in automating our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on infrastructure as code, and enhancing our monitoring and deployment framework. This role is pivotal in supporting our mid-sized development teams through the software lifecycle to deliver superior technical infrastructure for external product delivery within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet the technical needs, ensuring efficiency and optimization of our cloud resources and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute infrastructure as code for robust automation and cloud integration on GCP. Establish advanced monitoring, infrastructure health reporting, and support the advancement of self-healing infrastructure principles. Collaborate with development teams to define requirements, deploy and manage a DevOps pipeline, utilizing tools like Ansible, Gitlab, and Terraform. Enhance and extend configuration, deployment, and monitoring frameworks in partnership with Site Reliability Engineers. Provide critical off-hours support for applications and interact with internal customers to document architecture and gather requirements. Must-Have Skills: Proficient with GCP technologies (Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes as a Service, etc.) Knowledgeable in at least 2 programming languages (i.e. Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, etc) Experienced in Ansible, Terraform, or other configuration management and centralized configuration tools Experience with CI/CD pipeline and Build tools such as TeamCity, CircleCI, GitLab etc. Knowledgeable with Enterprise tools like Splunk, Nagios, ELK etc. Experienced with management of Kubernetes and Docker/Container are required
