Sr. Accountant

JOB TITLE: Sr. Accountant LOCATION: Onsite in Foster City, CA PAY RANGE: $62-72/hour DURATION: 3 month contract TOP 3 SKILLS: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred Big four and/or public company accounting experience Possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes JOB DESCRIPTION This person is responsible for activities related to the general ledger, month-end close, and annual financial audit. The successful candidate will be assertive, dedicated, trustworthy, detail oriented and customer focused with excellent communication skills. They must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. This is a job for someone willing to take full ownership of their workload and interact with all levels of employees throughout the organization. Responsibilities Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weekly Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Assist team with annual audit and tax filings Conduct regular general ledger maintenance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in accruals Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred 5+ years of relevant work experience Possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive attitude, team player and ability to quickly adapt to changes Excellent Excel skills Bonus Qualifications Big four and/or public company accounting experience SAP, Ariba, Oracle IND123
