Position Description:
As a Modeling and Simulation / Cameo SME and Team Lead, your role is instrumental in providing critical support to federal IT programs. This multifaceted role entails various tasks, including: Modeling and Simulation Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive modeling and simulation strategy that aligns with the organization's goals. Identify opportunities to leverage modeling and simulation for decision support, training, analysis, resiliency and reliability, and research. Technical Expertise:
Serve as the go-to resource for all matters related to modeling and simulation. Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in the field. Apply this knowledge to inform strategic decisions. Team Leader:
Lead a team of 3 to 5 modeling and simulation engineers in developing and implementing the comprehensive modeling and simulation strategy to deliver modeling environment capabilities. Model Development:
Lead the development of sophisticated models and simulations or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tailored to specific organizational needs. Ensure these models accurately represent real-world systems and phenomena. Analysis and Evaluation:
Conduct in-depth analyses using modeling and simulation tools to evaluate scenarios, systems, and processes. Provide insights and recommendations based on simulation outcomes. Simulation Integration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modeling and simulation into various projects, programs, and training initiatives. Training and Education:
Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff and stakeholders on modeling and simulation concepts, tools, and methodologies. Research and Innovation:
Engage in research and development activities to enhance modeling and simulation capabilities. Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for modeling and simulation efforts. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify modeling and simulation requirements and objectives. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare clear and comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing modeling and simulation results. Continuous Improvement:
Continuously assess and refine modeling and simulation processes and methodologies. Compliance and Security:
Ensure that modeling and simulation activities comply with relevant regulations and security protocols.
