Job Description - Anesthesiology Assistant Professor- Medicine (24000000T2) The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Department of Anesthesiology, is seeking physician anesthesiologists for full-time academic faculty and clinician positions. Individuals with fellowship training in: Critical Care Medicine (CCM) Regional Anesthesia (RA) Chronic Pain Management (CP) Obstetrical (OB) Anesthesia Trauma Anesthesia are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified generalists are also being sought. The patient population includes a heavy caseload in ortho, trauma, and high risk OB. Tenure and non-tenure track positions are available. Duties include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of nurse anesthetists, students, fellows, and residents. Opportunities for clinical and basic science research are available and participation is encouraged. Academic rank is commensurate with training and experience and compensation is highly competitive. Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible for examination by the ABA and eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
