Litigation Associate
to join its team in Augusta, GA. This role is ideal for an attorney with a passion for civil defense litigation, offering the chance to manage all stages of litigation while working in a collaborative environment. Duties
Manage civil defense cases, including conducting depositions, hearings, and trials. Oversee all phases of discovery, including drafting, responding to, and reviewing discovery requests. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and pleadings. Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to strategize case management and resolutions. Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences. Develop litigation strategies to meet client objectives while maintaining compliance with legal standards. Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil defense litigation (preferred). Proven ability to handle all litigation phases independently with minimal supervision. Experience with depositions, hearings, and other courtroom procedures. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active member of the Georgia Bar. Willingness to obtain South Carolina Bar admission. Skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with legal research tools and litigation support software.
