The Product Management team guides the strategy and vision for Disney’s incredible global digital products portfolio - from Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and the ESPN App to Marvel Unlimited, National Geographic, ABC and ABC News, and film websites and games. Job Summary The Governance team partners with the Product Management and Data Tech Engineering functions of the Disney Entertainment organization as well as with legal, privacy, information security, other business units within The Walt Disney Company, and industry groups to ensure consistent, trustworthy data. The group creates strategies and develops solutions designed to ensure data that is trustworthy, secure, and follows internal and legal standards. The Data Governance Engineer will be a member of the Data Governance Privacy and Compliance team whose mission is to ensure data throughout the ecosystem is in compliance with privacy and security regulations. This role requires acute attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, collaboration and understanding of large-scale cloud data platform infrastructure. In this role you will work directly with analytics, data architecture, engineering, legal and security partners to build scalable solutions to solve complex privacy related challenges.
Responsibilities Assist in the design and lead the build out of privacy solutions to support consumer privacy rights processes owned by Data Governance. Assist in developing monitoring to alert for operational errors and work to resolve issues as they arise. Respond to legal inquiries for consumer data. Supports the maintenance of data protection solutions. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of enterprise experience with data and platforms including: Provisioning/Data Capture, Big Data, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Subject matter expertise of consent management concepts and tools. Proven track record and experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPPA, SOX,etc.). Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills. Experience and comfort solving problems in an ambiguous environment where there is constant change. Ability to think logically, communicate clearly, and be well organized. Technologies such as OneTrust, Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, DynamoDB, REDIS, Kubernetes, Kinesis, REST APIs SQL, Python, Scala, other computer software languages Preferred Qualifications Experience in the technology industry and knowledge of data and product a plus Knowledge of agile SDLC methodologies Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience required
The hiring range for this position in New York and Seattle is $109,500 - $146,800 per year and for Los Angeles is $104,600 - $140,200 The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
