Assistant Professor, Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation

Assistant Professor, Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Hematology/Oncology Programs, on the clinical scholar pathway with an approximate 50:50 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits. The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch), the University of Washington (UW) and Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Department of Pediatrics at the UW. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. Academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research related to the field of pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation. Specifically, we are seeking individuals for this position who will have clinical and research efforts primarily focused on transplantation for malignant conditions, immunotherapy, or other relevant areas of pediatric transplantation. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation as well as an active clinical research interest, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, in the application of transplantation to the treatment of human disease. Applicants must have an MD and/or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and US board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. In order to be eligible for sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The annual base salary range for this position is from $208,780 to $225,064. The pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and sign-on bonus. Other compensation associated with this position may include an Administrative Supplement (ADS) in addition to base pay.
