Position Overview As Senior Scientist/ Principal Scientist, you will be responsible for expressing, purifying, and characterizing antibodies and antibody-like molecules for therapeutic programs. About You You are a motivated laboratory scientist who wants to demonstrate excellence at the bench. You have multiple years of experience in antibody discovery and expression, preferably in an industry setting, and a proven track record of solving difficult problems. You enjoy working as part of a team, and collaboration comes naturally to you. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where pushing the boundaries of what is possible is the norm. Qualifications Strong expertise in protein purification of antibody-like molecules PhD in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar field, with 5+ years of industry experience 10+ years of experience in Biologics discovery and engineering Expertise in mammalian and bacterial expression systems Hands-on knowledge of multiple analytical techniques including SEC HPLC/UHPLC, BLI/SPR, Flow Cytometry, and similar techniques Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including cloning Experience setting up and configuring lab facilities and processes Proven contribution to therapeutic development and selection is highly desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with researchers from diverse fields, including computational and experimental biologists, and provide scientific guidance, support, and leadership as needed Demonstrated ability to mentor junior research associates Preferred Qualifications Industry experience in the discovery of novel and biologically relevant biologics is highly desirable Cell-free expression systems experience is advantageous Experience with mass spectrometry is highly desirable Experience using LIMS and Benchling systems Experience with liquid handling, robotics, and workflow automation is preferred Compensation We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long-term careers. The base pay range for this position is expected to be $133,000 - $182,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
