Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of litigation, including: Class, collective, and PAGA actions Single-plaintiff actions Evaluate claims Handle mediation processes Take depositions Engage in motion practice Prepare for and participate in arbitration and trial Involve in administrative charge work, including preparing position statements Depending on experience: Work with senior attorneys to counsel HR professionals and business executives on employment law compliance Provide strategic advice to avoid and resolve employment disputes Qualifications:
Active California State Bar membership 5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, including: Wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actions Substantial experience in employment litigation in California, specifically in: Discrimination Harassment Retaliation Leave interference claims (Preferably representing management) Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state or local agencies Experience drafting employment policies (preferred) Experience counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (preferred) Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously to meet client demands Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
