We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join an established underwriting team in a rapidly growing and dynamic segment. The individual will be responsible for servicing a renewal book and producing new business through exceptional underwriting practices throughout North America. What will your essential responsibilities include? Executing a business plan to expand the existing Middle Market portfolio, aligning within the overall Cyber business strategy. Assisting in achieving profitable premium and rate goals, working with actuarial and claims, and successfully delivering results consistent with the financial plan. Collaborating across business units and functions to leverage existing resources to underwrite, manage, and service a cyber and technology renewal book and produce new business in accordance with the Cyber underwriting unit goals. Exercising discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk. Participating in roundtable discussions on risk assessment. Negotiating with producers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives. Building and enhancing relationships with assigned brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution relationships. Maintaining expertise with the products, services, priorities, and target markets to more effectively enable clients to uncover hidden cyber risks. Promoting the company's expertise by participating in industry conferences and events while regularly conducting and taking leadership roles in client and broker meetings to educate on evolving cyber risk. Maintaining compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirements. Offering support and guidance to junior underwriters in negotiating deals and evaluating risks. You will report to the Underwriting Manager. We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: A bachelor’s degree is required. An extensive amount of experience within Cyber and Technology underwriting experience or Underwriting experience in another area of expertise with a robust conceptual comprehension of data security, privacy, cyber, and information risk. The ability to travel a minimum of 15% of the time is anticipated. Desired Skills and Abilities: Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations. Outstanding collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. The U.S. pay range for this position is USD 106,500 – 186,500. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location.
