Director of Finance

will play a pivotal leadership role in managing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making to support the company's long-term financial health. The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with senior management and ensure that all financial activities align with company goals, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership : Lead the financial strategy and planning for the organization, providing actionable insights to senior leadership to support business objectives. Financial Reporting & Analysis : Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances, and present findings to senior management. Budgeting & Forecasting : Manage the annual budget process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and ensure that spending aligns with budgetary constraints. Cash Flow Management : Monitor and optimize cash flow including creating invoices, paying invoices, and ensuring active contract partners are billed appropriately for services provided and payment is collected in a timely manner. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate financial risks related to operational, market, and credit risks. Ensure appropriate internal controls and compliance with financial regulations. Expense Management : Manage company credit cards and expense reports, including reviewing and processing employee expense submissions. Payroll & Banking : Run and maintain payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with applicable tax and labor laws. Document and reconcile all banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Compliance & Regulatory Reporting : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations including state income tax and state unemployment tax, as well as other financial reporting requirements. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. Systems & Process Improvement : Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and streamline financial processes. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required). MBA or CPA is highly preferred. Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), and financial systems. Proven track record in financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience in collaborating with other departments, particularly in strategic decision-making. Skills : Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Familiarity with ERP software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Strong communication and presentation skills. High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
