AWS Architect - W2 Contract

Job Description Overview The AWS Architect plays a pivotal role in the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud solutions for our organization. With the exponential growth of cloud technologies, the AWS Architect is integral in assessing business requirements and translating them into robust architecture patterns, ensuring optimal use of AWS services. This position requires a deep understanding of AWS cloud offerings and best practices, allowing our teams to efficiently deliver high-quality applications. The AWS Architect will work closely with various departments to ensure that the cloud strategies align with the overall business goals while providing cost-effective solutions. As a consultant and leader, the AWS Architect will also mentor junior team members, driving cloud adoption within the organization and supporting ongoing innovation. Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS architecture solutions that meet business needs. Conduct assessments of current architecture and recommend improvements. Work with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategy and roadmap. Ensure security best practices are integrated into all designs. Monitor and optimize AWS cloud cost management strategies. Implement automated deployment solutions using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. Provide technical leadership in cloud migration projects. Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments. Regularly review and update cloud architecture to incorporate new technologies. Participate in technical reviews and architecture discussions. Conduct training sessions for developers on best cloud practices. Manage integration of third-party services with AWS infrastructure. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards. Assist in troubleshooting performance and availability issues. Stay up-to-date with AWS services and industry trends. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture roles. Extensive knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc. Experience with cloud migration and deployment strategies. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies. Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of network configurations and security best practices. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot cloud architecture issues. Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus. Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.). Experience with monitoring and log management tools. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
