The Ad Platforms organization is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining the high-performance, distributed, microservice-based Advertising Platform across all Disney online properties. We build proprietary technology for ad serving, delivery, campaign management, reporting, and integrations. The Ad Platform research team aims to transform advertising with AI and data science. We build solutions to measure and optimize every aspect of the advertising life cycle. We are seeking a lead machine learning engineer to develop prediction or optimization engines for addressable ad platforms. The ideal candidate should be experienced in machine learning technologies or data-driven algorithms. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Drive innovation and apply AI and machine learning to enhance advertising aspects including inventory forecasting, ad experience, pricing, targeting, and delivery. Invent and iterate novel solutions for complex ad challenges. Lead the ad algorithm architecture design and iteration of the advertising system. Develop scalable approaches for large scale data analysis and model development. Build and experiment new algorithms and models end-to-end. Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and program managers. Mentor team members and support their technical growth. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. 7+ years of relevant engineering experience at leading technology companies. Strong knowledge of AI/ML technologies, mathematics, and statistics. Ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams. Proficient in Java, Python, Scala, and large scale ML/DL platforms. Passionate about understanding the ad business and applying advanced research. Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. NICE-TO-HAVES: MS or PhD in computer science or equivalent experience. Experience in the advertising domain. Experience in large scale machine learning. Experience with LLM and GenAI. Experience with forecasting algorithms. Experience in digital video advertising or marketing. Experience with CTR/CVR models and generative AI. Experience with feature store, audience segmentation, and MLOps. Experience with Tensorflow, Kubeflow, or Sagemaker. Compensation:
The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $175,800-235,700 per year, in Los Angeles, CA is $167,700-$224,900, and in San Francisco Bay Area is $183,700-$246,400 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Job Posting Segment:
