Patient Financial Services Director Employment status:
Full-Time Hours per two-week pay period:
80 hours Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the overall direction of hospital and clinic Patient Financial Services, including but not limited to insurance and self-pay billing, reimbursement, and collection processes. Manages team of direct reports in the Patient Financial Services department. Participates in revenue cycle enhancement and acts as a subject matter expert on billing for other departments. Researches best practices for denial and account resolution. Determines and implements departmental processes and procedures in order to reach facility goals. Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role. Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing required. Excellent computer and customer service skills. Microsoft Excel knowledge is required. Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required. Education: HS diploma or equivalent, BS in accounting, business, or finance preferred. Certifications and Licenses: HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification will be required within 1 year of hire date.
