Purpose:
Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Joint Interface Control Officer -
Military Systems Analyst
who will be a key support to the Strike Group Interoperability Training Representative (SGITR) providing advanced technical and tactical expertise to exercise controlling agencies and analyze interoperability issues. Job Description: Provide advanced technical and tactical expertise to exercise controlling agencies, analyze interoperability issues, and identify training shortfalls. Provide feedback and lessons learned with respect to specific interoperability issues to controlling agencies. Provide warfare curriculum C4I, and warfare instruction and training. Responsible for conducting SG interoperability training, analysis, review, and validation of interoperability-related curricula, and must be able to develop Strike Group (SG) interoperability training plans and coordinate training support. Develop and implement tactical data link (TDL)/common operational picture (COP)/common tactical picture (CTP) training plans, schedules, and status briefings related to interoperability training for each Carrier Strike Group (CSG) or Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) and provide SGs with pertinent TDL/COP/CTP information as it evolves throughout the FRTP process. Maintain interoperability training schedules, coordinate with waterfront training activities, TDL/GCCS-M related course of instruction support, air defense, and LINK/identification/CTP-manager syndicate support, and participate in FST planning conferences and event execution. Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience performing similar duties as a Navy Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO). Degree requirements may be offset with additional specialized experience. Must have completed Navy ICO course. Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and verbally, and be able to perform and brief at the action officer and senior executive levels. Desired Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience with JICO Theater Operations, Strike Group, or Training Staff Operations. At least 3 years of experience with TDL system configuration and operation, GCCS-M operational, TDL architecture planning, TDL system integration and interoperability, TDL monitoring, ICO, and common data link management system utilization. Security Requirements: Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance. Must be a US Citizen and have a valid US Driver's License. Current Passport may be required. Travel Requirements: Must be able to perform duties while embarked on US Navy vessels that are supporting Fleet Training and Certifications events. Up to 50% travel may be required. If the position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, the candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform duties while embarked on US Navy vessels that are supporting Fleet Training and Certifications events. Requires walking, reaching, sitting, and concentration in the presence of occasional noise. Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders, or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships). Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Work will be in office, warehouse, laboratory, pier-side, and shipboard environments. Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud.
