As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platform: Workforce Technology, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.

Partner with Product teams to accomplish the key business deliverables.

Partner with Agility Lead to maintain a clean Jira backlog and Jira Align roadmap.

Make decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures.

Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.

Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.

Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.

Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.

Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.

Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager.

Expertise in Agile Methodology including tools like Jira and Jira Align.

Experience in running roadmap planning and resource allocations.

Practical cloud native experience.

Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Full stack development.

Java development experience.

UX Design experience.

Data analytics experience.

Experience in database design.
