Amida is currently looking for a
Cloud Architect/Engineer
to join our team. This opportunity is either hybrid or remote. The Cloud Engineer must have considerable experience in designing, automating, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of MS Azure cloud instances. In this role you will provide cloud/solution architectural expertise as well as practical engineering and implementation of systems as we develop solutions for our clients. You will help with the business development activities related to cloud opportunities and will be responsible for describing our approach to cloud architecture and provisioning them in our proposals. What will you do: This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, to include virtual machines, databases, backups, security infrastructure, and so on You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems are designed and implemented in a scalable manner and optimized for performance You are able to lead an architecture or client call with other architects, engineers, and support staff while explaining the nuances of the design approach Lend your expertise to aligned efforts including cloud migration, implementation of a data lake, and automated provisioning of cloud resources Required Skills: 5+ years of recent professional experience in cloud architecture, solutions architecture (in the cloud), and/or cloud engineering Experience provisioning, using, and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions or automation of deployments Experience in data migration from legacy and on-premises systems to the cloud Experience with ETL and ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively with software engineers and clients Ability to work with the federal government and be
able to obtain Public Trust clearance Preferred Skills: Bachelor's Degree in a field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Database Engineering, or Management Information Systems Experience working for the Department of Veterans Affairs Experience integrating data between systems using Azure Data Factory Experience with Azure Synapse and Fabric Experience large-scale data analysis systems, such as Databricks, Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark or MPP databases Experience working with Apache Parquet and/or Delta Lake formatted data Experience supporting MLOps pipelines Experience with CI/CD Communication is the key to success at Amida.
