You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competence and deliver mission critical infrastructure. Role & Responsibilities
As an L2/L3 Software Development Engineer at Versa Networks, you will be a critical member of the platform team working with the engineering group. You will work on developing and testing the latest networking products and technologies. While your primary responsibilities would be the development of switching/routing products, you are expected to be knowledgeable on Networking and L2/L3 technologies. We expect you to have hands-on experience in software development methodologies and usage of tools. Work with engineering teams to develop and debug new features Write/maintain design and architecture documents Improve performance, scalability, and features of the product Help improve product quality and performance through regular technical feedback Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 – 10 years of hands-on experience in switching/routing/security companies. Candidate MUST have strong hands-on experience in C/Linux and debugging skills In-depth knowledge of Datapath/Infra/Platform engineering Prior knowledge in Switching/Routing/L2-L7 services is highly desirable. Working experience on the data plane/control plane is highly desirable Working experience on Broadcom Trident, and Tomahawk NPUs is highly desirable. Hands-on experience using traffic generator tools such as IxLoad, Spirent TestCenter, etc will be a plus Location: Santa Clara, CA *Applicants must be authorized to work in the US The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below. $180,000 - $240,000 Our Benefits
