Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Sr. Application Security Engineer in San Mateo, CA to collaborate with engineers, consultants, and leadership to address security risks. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security or related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience calculating risk of security flaws based on likelihood and impact, weighing individual parts based on criticality to the whole evaluated resource; analyzing components and context of evaluated resources to determine applicable and reasonable security requirements; collaborating with development teams and articulating security concepts, including assessing potential attack vectors, risks and threats, defenses against security flaws and how to prevent them, to both technical and non-technical audiences; providing guidance for security practices on host, database, and application solutions for multi-tier systems; ensuring enterprise class application architectures that are highly scalable, reliable and secure; and leveraging Java, Go, Python, and Perl to detect and remedy security related issues, including OWASP top 10.
Salary range:
