Adventist HealthCare is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging in Rockville, MD. Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (*Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As an MRI Tech you will: Demonstrates proficiency in operating MRI scanners and all ancillary equipment. Must be able to train all new employees in their use. Properly identifies and performs MRI safety procedures on all patients including those with implantable devices. Understands principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identifies contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions. Accurately documents MRI exams, contrast administration and other relevant information in the EMR, PACS, HConnect and other systems as necessary. Maximizes patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing patient load using the one MRI scanner including the transport of patients when necessary. Collaborates with coworkers, radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure the best patient care possible. Performs periodic QA procedures as necessary. Contributes to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to hospital standards. Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography and/or Certified MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Active Maryland license required ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required One year of current MRI scanning experience in a hospital environment - IV Certification preferred
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm; Open to floating between offices
Pay Range:
$37.17 - $55.76 In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
