Job Description: Powder River Industries, LLC provides technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime, we are responsible for complete end to end system management for a customer’s mission system. This includes a data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor, we provide services including DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, and Tier 1 – Tier 3 support in traditional data center environments (bare metal frames), cloud, and hybrid cloud. The cloud environments we operate in today are AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle. Role & Responsibilities: Conduct design level Windows Engineer efforts and build efforts. Research and collaborate with team members on resolutions for issues and act as escalation for support issues. Provide advanced knowledge and administration of Windows Active Directory, including trusts, functional levels, and migrations. Develop and submit change requests and track completion for software upgrades and patches. Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new services as necessary. Monitor system/server resources, including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Understand IIS and related web technologies. Install, upgrade software, configure, and perform general system maintenance on servers and other systems. Analyze, diagnose, and recommend corrective measures on server/systems. Work with vendors to resolve system configuration problems and other issues. Understand network and server design and suggest modifications to improve performance and reliability. Record all relevant designs and implementation diagrams, schemas, and documents clearly and succinctly. Manage vulnerability reports and remediate as required. Install SSL certificates on Windows. Contribute to schedule development as requested. Contribute to metric collection as requested. Contribute to process development within the functional area and where it connects to other operational processes. May perform other related duties.
