Staff Software Engineer – CUDA/GPU (San Diego, CA) Job Description
You will focus on implementing signal and image processing algorithms using CUDA to leverage the power of NVIDIA GPUs and will work closely with algorithm designers and cross-functional teams to ensure that these algorithms are executed efficiently and effectively. Your role: Implement signal and image processing algorithms in CUDA for efficient execution on NVIDIA GPUs. Translate designs from algorithm creators into optimized CUDA code. Interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, and manufacturing to refine design requirements for next generation intravascular ultrasound devices. Conduct performance profiling and benchmarking to optimize CUDA code efficiency. Update and improve existing CUDA codebases for better quality and performance. Create software requirement specifications, software architecture documents, and detailed software design documents. You're the right fit if: You have 8+ years of professional experience in software design, development, integration and testing utilizing C++ or similar with at least 3 years of experience working with CUDA. You are experienced with digital signal and image processing applications with the CUDA framework for GPU platforms and you have experience with Agile software development. You earned a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. You’ve gained industry experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification and testing plans). Having knowledge of digital signal and image processing would be a plus, as would knowledge of CUDA with such applications. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
