The Opportunity We are in search of an experienced Global Payroll and Compliance Manager to oversee comprehensive payroll processing and guarantee adherence to relevant laws and regulations. The preferred candidate should demonstrate robust analytical abilities, a deep comprehension of payroll protocols, and extensive familiarity with tax regulations. The selected Payroll Compliance Manager will be tasked with overseeing global payroll personnel, upholding precise records, and instituting optimal practices to enhance payroll efficiency. They will ultimately be responsible for financial management of all non-US legal entities of the Group and ensuring all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met. Some key responsibilities include providing oversight over integrity of information reported each month on a legal entity level and ensuring that all local statutory and regulatory reporting obligations are met.
How you'll make a difference day to day:
Global Payroll Management : Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for all legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws and company policies. Ensure strict adherence to local, state, provincial, and federal payroll tax regulations, guaranteeing accurate filing of tax returns and timely payments. Establish and uphold robust payroll procedures and internal controls to maintain precision and compliance standards. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of payroll software and systems, with the ability to evaluate, implement, or upgrade payroll technology as needed. Participate actively in special projects pertaining to payroll, such as system upgrades or implementations, to ensure seamless execution. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies regarding payroll-related matters. Provide exemplary customer service by promptly addressing employee inquiries pertaining to payroll matters. Compliance and Financial Reporting : Manage statutory books of non-US legal entities, preparing reconciliations, financial statements, and various analysis needed. Bring global compliance and reporting in-house and standardize policies, processes, and procedures, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while accommodating regional variations and legal requirements. Ensure all regional statutory accounts and regulatory reports are accurate and filed timely, such as filing VAT / GST and annual corporate and tax returns. Stay abreast of updates in payroll and general compliance laws and regulations, effectively communicating implications to both management and staff, if needed. Comfortable with ambiguity and a wide range of dynamic responsibilities, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and requirements. We’d love to hear from you if you have:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required. Minimum of ten (10)+ years of experience in payroll processing and compliance, with several years spent in a supervisory capacity. Comprehensive knowledge of global payroll laws and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an acute attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members. Proficiency in thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to shifting priorities. Experience with multi-state payroll, international payroll processing, and proficiency in financial tools, Workday experience is a plus. Strong educational background and extensive experience in payroll processing and compliance.
