Our client, a fast-growing technology company specializing in third-party risk and cyber security solutions, is seeking a
Staff Accountant
to join their dynamic team. This role offers significant growth potential, working in a collaborative environment to support financial reporting, month-end close, and operational accounting processes. The position is hybrid, with two days per week in the Mountain View office (Tuesday and Thursday) for candidates living within a 1.5-hour commute. Fully remote candidates will also be considered. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable, vendor setup, invoice processing, and payments. Oversee accounts receivable operations, including subscription-based invoicing and ASC 606 compliance. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for accurate and timely month-end close activities. Assist with financial analysis, budget preparation, and cash flow management. Maintain and enhance internal controls, and support external audits with necessary documentation. Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or SaaS/tech environment. Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite). Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Experience with SaasOptics (Maxio) is preferred but not required.
