Financial Counselor
determines the financial status of the patient during the financial counseling process and coordinates benefit authorization and management. The Financial Counselor captures patient liabilities while providing financial counseling to patients/guarantors, who require assistance in seeking and applying for healthcare funding (e.g., Charity Care, or other local/governmental assistance programs) and/or require assistance in reviewing and establishing payment options prior-to-service, at time-of service, and/or post-service. Hours:
Full time, 40 hours per week, Day Shift, Weekdays Location : On Site, Suburban Hospital, 8600 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda MD, 20814 Requirements : Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in hospital or clinic environment, an insurance company, managed care organization or other financial service setting, performing financial counseling, financial clearance and/or customer service activities. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
