JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Treasury is responsible for managing the Treasury function, including cash management and credit arrangements, to ensure adequacy of working capital to fund short-term and long-term operations, and merger and acquisition activities. The Director ensures compliance with covenants and policies of and execution with primary lenders, equipment lenders, and floor plan lenders. The Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions report to the Director of Treasury. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
TREASURY
Conduct strategic reviews of capital structure and the annual renewal of credit facilities to ensure adequate funding to meet organizational working capital and investment needs while minimizing fees. Monitor organization borrowing needs to determine when/where more borrowing capacity is needed. Manage inventory floor plan credit facilities and oversee the flow of receipts and payments when required and during floor plan audits. Manage all credit facilities’ lending relationships. Create strategies to minimize interest expenses by optimizing use of the current structure and/or other means. Manage an effective and cost-effective cash management system and forecasting process to ensure an efficient flow of funds, adequate liquidity, and optimal investment of excess cash to minimize costs. Support merger and acquisition activities and integrations. Oversee strategic and operational management of customer credit card processing. Manage internal controls to reduce the risk of fraud. Complete quarterly covenant calculations and review with lenders. Provide financial statements and analysis to third parties to maintain borrowing capacity. CUSTOMER FINANCE
Oversee corporate customer retail financing under the Customer Finance Manager. Maintain relationships with finance sources. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE/PAYABLE
Oversee strategic and operational management of credit/accounts receivable and accounts payable under the functional management/supervision of staff and process. Monitor the overall efficiency of workflows and processes and adjust as appropriate. OTHER ESSENTIALS
Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Oversee and manage the work of finance department staff. Promote the company goal of developing a positive team-oriented culture. Ensure business systems are structured properly to achieve department objectives. Continuously analyze current processes and make recommendations to management. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of financial information. Perform other duties of a similar nature as required. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related field from 4-year accredited institution. Hold an MBA and/or CPA or related certification (preferred). EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years with Corporate Treasury or Finance experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner. Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to evolving roles and processes. Work independently and effectively prioritize tasks and demands. Keen attention to detail.
