Our corresponding ability to “flex” Amyloidosis Global Access & Pricing strategy to the highly competitive disease environment together with a clear strategic pricing alignment to AZ portfolio Amyloidosis assets will be key to achieving above ambition.

It is therefore an imperative that our Amyloidosis Global Access-Pricing strategy and capabilities integrate the disease portfolio complexity, the competitive market environment and the diversity of our global geography footprint to enable timely market access and reimbursement at optimal pricing potential.

Alexion AstraZeneca’s Rare Disease GVAP team is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of a dynamic and growing team with responsibility for Amyloidosis portfolio, including ready to be launched late phase as well as early pipeline assets.

You will be responsible for:

GLOBAL VALUE, ACCESS AND PRICING, LEAD:

Value

Ability to lead across function development of a clear differentiated asset value proposition while influencing without authority and navigating complex organizational systems.

Influence the development of Clinical Development Programs to ensure that endpoints and evidence generation plans (i.e. clinical, economic, and humanistic outcomes) are incorporated to support optimized patient access.

Lead and Secure timely country input into Amyloidosis Clinical Development Programs to ensure that endpoints and evidence generation plans are matching payer needs in priority target countries.

Provide support to GMMA commercial team in informing early asset development, particularly through early governance milestones focused on market access potential, evidence, and TPP requirements.

Access

Lead the assessment of P&R risks and opportunities specific to amyloidosis portfolio.

Close collaboration with target key countries and support global functions (HeoR, medical, commercial), Lead development of global reimbursement dossier and overall across function market access readiness amyloidosis portfolio plans.

Organize and manage multiple projects and regions, and prioritize tasks, while maintaining an understanding of national and global perspectives.

Pricing

Develop and propose Amyloidosis portfolio and individual assets pricing strategy.

Offer critical strategic inputs to inform access and pricing assumptions, creating accurate, market-driven LTP assumptions for pipeline assets in the context of amyloidosis.

Engage with senior leaders on critical business development opportunities by driving assessment of pricing and access strategies and coverage assumptions.

Communicate frequently and effectively with GMMA senior leadership, and other identified stakeholders, particularly in relation to amyloidosis portfolio pricing.

Create and roll out strategic value, access and pricing communication tools and materials to support local P&R submissions and negotiations such as pricing frameworks, negotiation strategy & toolkits, etc. per the enterprise-wide launch framework.

You will need to have:

Experience – capabilities & skills:

We are seeking a candidate with 10+ years pricing- market access experience working with US and/or EU-international markets in developing & implementing market access strategies-initiatives in a payer strategy function, e.g., managed markets brand director, pricing/access.

Experience in constructing asset value proposition, payer value narrative and incorporating these into TPPs with confirmed examples of success.

Experience working with clinicians, pharmacists, and payers on evidence-based customer solutions, e.g. through working with local payers in EU or commercial customers in the US.

Prior rare disease therapy area expertise with Relevant drug development and/or commercialization experience within the pharmaceutical/medical industry.

Several years of previous project leadership experience in the generation of payer evidence or development/execution of payer commercial strategies (e.g. Health Economics, Market Access, Pricing).

Capabilities & skills - This role requires:

Relevant Graduate degree e.g. PhD, PharmD, biomedical science, business, or economics.

Knowledge of the needs and expectations of national and regional payers, insurers, and commercial customers in our strategic markets.

Ability to build-mobilize positive relationships and effectively collaborate across functions (clinical, commercial, medical), seeking to understand and anticipate evolving internal and external payer priorities environment.

Engaged in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue.

Highly autonomous and an effective communicator with cultural sensitivity and engagement skills across the diversity of EU/international markets in scope.

Ability to deal with complexity (Countries, portfolio, diseases).
