About The Scheller College of Business The Scheller College of Business' Full-time MBA Program is ranked #4 among public universities by Bloomberg BusinessWeek (2023) and #25 overall in U.S. News & World Report (2024).
The Finance Area consists of ten tenure-track faculty members and includes one endowed chair. Faculty members have distinct backgrounds and pursue a variety of research interests.
Job Summary The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites candidate applications and nominations for tenure-track faculty position for the Invesco Chair in Finance. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, mentor graduate students and junior faculty, advise students at all levels and maintain an active research program. The typical course load is three courses a year.
Required Qualifications
The ideal senior candidates should be internationally recognized scholars who demonstrate an established record of excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring.
Candidates should be eligible for academic appointment as Professor with tenure at the College and would be able to build relations with the business community.
The ideal candidate must also be able to conduct research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and provide service to the College, the Institute, and the finance profession.
