We're seeking a dedicated Associate Vice President of Finance.
The AVP of Finance will play a key leadership role in managing the financial operations and financial planning of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing, and/or assisting with, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This position will manage the accounting team and will need to have strong interpersonal and experienced leadership skills.
Supervision of accounting department including Accounts Payable and Receivables, Client Services (Representative Payee), grant management and general journal management. Preparation of various financial statements (including subsidiaries) and reports for internal departments, CFO, and Board of Directors. Perform account reconciliations and/or review such reconciliations for accuracy. Assist in annual budget preparation. Prepare audit schedules for the annual financial audits. Cross train in all finance positions to assist with vacation schedules and openings. Attend Board Finance Committee meetings and other internal/external meetings at the request of the CFO. Respond to AID staff questions/inquiries/notifications on any related matters. Other tasks and projects as assigned by the CFO.This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.
Other Requirements

Demonstrate proficiency in all modules of accounting software
Provides leadership to the Finance Department personnel ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial statements to programs
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, motivate, coach and develop finance department personnel
Prepare workpapers for annual audit.
Prepare financial statements as needed/requested.
Assist in budget preparation.
Supervise all aspects of A/P, A/R, grant management, client services as assigned and/or necessary.
Ensures accurate and responsible management of representative payee services
Review/create all account reconciliations monthly.
Cross train on department responsibilities including A/P, A/R, grant management and client services.
Complete assigned responsibilities accurately and timely.
Respond timely to AID staff questions/inquiries/notifications
Prepares schedules and work papers for Audit Personnel as required.
Participates in internal and external committees/meetings
High integrity, strong work ethic. Cultural competency.
Ability to work with a diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Strong communications skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.Masters degree preferred.Non-profit experience a strong plus.
Threeyears relevant experience at a comparable level. Strong leadership/management and conflict-diffusing skills desired.
Familiarity with computerized accounting systems, Financial Edge preferred. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
