JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst! The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will support the accounting functions for various corporate cost center groups. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with payroll and benefits accounting and reporting. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly journal entries to book prepaid expenses and associated amortization, accruals, reclassifications, allocations, etc., ensuring that all entries are completed on a timely basis Prepare monthly benefit allocations for the various corporate fringe pools Review monthly invoices and make recommendations on necessary accruals and reclasses Reconcile intercompany accounts with divisional counterparts Reconcile balance sheet accounts Work directly with benefits vendors to report and confirm actual claims costs, health savings, flex spending, and 401K by fringe pool Book monthly claims and reimbursement charges for health care, 401K, transit fees, and health savings accounts by fringe pool Assist with performing self-insured plans reconciliations Assist with all SOX related documentation and signoffs Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Information Technology, and any other groups that impacts benefits processing or activities to ensure appropriate financial accounting of transactions Build effective business relationship with Benefits Operational staff in Los Angeles and New York Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as required WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 2+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry General accounting knowledge, including a strong knowledge of GAAP Strong analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and meet time-sensitive deadlines Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, and results-oriented Strong problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of Excel NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER Knowledge of Workday ERP system Knowledge of SOX CPA or CPA candidate Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $36.00-50.25 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
