PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD Position Overview: Responsible for providing psychotherapy with individuals, children, and families. Provides comprehensive assessment and counseling support for mental, emotional, social, and behavioral issues that arise for patients with chronic or life-threatening illness. Assists patients in learning effective tools to cope with stress, grief, and loss, and to make healthy behavioral changes. Works in partnership with physicians, other health practitioners, and administrative staff on care coordination and treatment planning, and is the principal team resource for all mental health matters. The position also collaborates with other psychotherapists (LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) to implement and sustain best practices in the area of psychotherapy and guided imagery, and to stay abreast of research and best practice in the field of behavioral health. HYBRID REMOTE DAYS ELIGIBLE Job Description: Psychotherapist EDUCATION: Master's Degree in a Mental Health discipline or equivalent education/experience CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LMFT - Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR PSY - Psychologist of California TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years of recent relevant experience in group therapy. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to assess the needs of the patient and provide high-quality psychotherapy. Knowledge of assessment, care plan development, and outcomes tracking methods. Candidate must have desire and ability to work as an active member of an interdisciplinary practice team led by physicians. Required to have knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adhere to them. Psychologist EDUCATION: Doctorate in Psychology CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: APA licensed within the area of expertise SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents, and adults. Knowledge of psychosocial factors relevant to mental health, such as personality, human growth and development; interpersonal relationships; group process; family dynamics; community integration, and socioeconomic resource provisions, including the relevance of these factors for personal change in treatment. Knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association ethical standards. Knowledge of the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, and psychotherapeutic modalities and interventions, including psychotropic medications. Ability to effectively work with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems of children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Ability to cooperatively work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Ability to make sound clinical decisions regarding assessing patient's acuity and appropriate dispositions. Job Shift:

$54.62 to $73.72 / hour. Psychologist Pay Range is $49.43 to $74.15 / hour. Psychologist II Pay Range is $59.82 to $89.73 / hour. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
