Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm based in Houston, Texas, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of law firm experience to join their dynamic Litigation group. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, a solid understanding of complex legal issues, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. Duties: Handle all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, strategy development, and execution. Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, including drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and argumentation. Prepare and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions, in both state and federal courts. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide updates on case status. Maintain accurate and detailed case files and documentation. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to ongoing cases. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to the Bar in Texas. 3-5 years of law firm experience in litigation. Proven track record of managing and successfully resolving complex litigation matters. Experience in drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and handling courtroom proceedings. Education: JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in Texas. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
