A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to join their team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising and supporting case teams and clients through all phases of discovery, from preservation through production, as well as expertise in pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation. This role involves close collaboration with other attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to develop and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols aimed at risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility. The Senior Discovery Attorney will also oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables from associated team members. Duties: Advise and support case teams and clients through all phases of discovery, from preservation to production. Provide expertise in pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation. Collaborate with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to craft and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols. Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility while identifying necessary information for successful case outcomes. Oversee and ensure quality of work and deliverables from Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all eDiscovery processes and deliverables. Stay updated on eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Communicate complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Utilize fluency with preservation, filtering, and export capabilities of corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity solutions, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Demonstrate expertise with Relativity or similar eDiscovery platforms. Requirements: Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of Oregon. In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency with corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity solutions, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Expertise with Relativity is strongly preferred. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Certification in eDiscovery (such as CEDS) is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and project management abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Proficiency in using eDiscovery software and technology. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently. Strong ethical standards and professional integrity. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on eDiscovery and litigation support.
