As a Medical Economics Manager, your primary responsibilities may include:
Healthcare Cost Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare cost trends, utilization patterns, and risk factors, identifying key drivers of medical expenses and opportunities for cost control. Financial Modeling and Forecasting:
Develop and manage financial models to project healthcare costs, revenue impact, and savings associated with various healthcare programs and interventions. Value-Based Care Analysis:
Assess the financial and clinical impact of value-based care models, such as accountable care organizations (ACOs), bundled payments, and risk-based contracts. Client Strategy:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex economic analyses into strategic recommendations to support decision-making around healthcare costs and utilization. Data Integration and Reporting:
Oversee data integration efforts across multiple data sources, ensuring data quality and consistency in all analyses and reports. Regulatory and Market Analysis:
Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and market trends that impact medical costs, reimbursement, and pricing strategies. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical, operations, and IT teams to align medical economics initiatives with broader organizational goals. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of analysts and consultants, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and knowledge sharing. Qualification: Here’s what you need: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare economics, financial analysis, or healthcare consulting. Minimum of 3 years of experience with healthcare data sources, including claims data, risk adjustment, utilization management, and healthcare cost structures. Bonus points if you have: Master's degree preferred. Experience working with or leading global teams. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Leadership experience, including team management and project oversight. Familiarity with predictive modeling, actuarial methods, and risk adjustment methodologies. Experience with healthcare reimbursement models and payment methodologies, including fee-for-service, capitation, and bundled payments. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
