Inception is seeking a Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle who will provide centralized management for all Revenue Cycle functions across US and Canada. The leader will direct, manage and implement programs to ensure efficient operations of the organization’s Revenue Cycle program in order to ensure sufficient cash flow to support operations and strategic initiatives.
Additionally, the Senior Vice President is responsible for identifying, analyzing, reducing Revenue Cycle challenges as well as implementing continual improvement processes. The SVP will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with administration, the clinical department, and physician leadership across the organization. The leader will also promote working relationships with key external organizations; this would include other providers, payers, government entities and applicable professional associations.
All areas of Revenue Cycle will report to the SVP of Revenue Cycle including coding, medical billing and collections, revenue integrity, and operational strategy and optimization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages revenue cycle activities to insure cost effectiveness, organizational efficiency, and optimal collection rates.
Communicate the Revenue Cycle departmental activities to Inception’s senior management as it relates to cash flow, organizational profitability, customer service, accounts receivable results and revenue enhancement activities.
Develop, implement and direct various quality initiatives to ensure continuous monitoring and improvements within the revenue cycle process. This includes managing an overall departmental operating/capital budget(s) within pre-determined limits to ensure operational efficiencies and obtaining pre-determined performance targets.
Implement and manage third-party vendor relationships as necessary
Develop a structure for innovation and establish cross-departmental collaborations to transform care delivery and experience
Model leadership behaviors and lead as a unified team to drive system alignment
Direct the strategy, goals and objectives of the department to align with Inception’s business plan
Manage, communicate and pursue enterprise accounts receivable targets.
Partner with key stakeholders to interpret trends in Key Performance Metrics which will guide management decisions for achieving the periodic goals of the revenue cycle and the overall financial performance of the enterprise.
Ensure that appropriate controls exist throughout the enterprise to create accountability and effective management of the enterprise revenue cycle.
Remain up to date with regulatory, third-party payer and contractual changes affecting the revenue cycle to ensure compliance.
Manage and develop a results-oriented team. Continuously assess and develop an organizational structure that ensures high performance and achievement of goals.
Facilitate the communication, coordination, and implementation of any enterprise business process or information system that has been impacted by regulatory, industry, third party payers, federal, or state requirement.
Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; Advanced degree in a related field is desirable.
8+ years of progressive management experience required in the healthcare receivables field demonstrating ever increasing and progressive responsibilities.
Candidate must possess extensive knowledge in multi-site outpatient revenue cycle functions
Proven leader with a history of attracting, engaging and retaining talent and effectively leading teams including remote teams.
The individual must have significant experience with payers, providers, and understand the commensurate requirements for facilitating accounts receivable resolution, cash flow, billing, revenue enhancement and patient service issues.
Incumbent must possess strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate to many different audience levels.
