Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership Overview: Serve as an essential member of the Student Engagement Leadership (SEAL) staff by supporting all office functions, developing impactful relationships with students, and working collaboratively with campus partners to provide meaningful student programming. Responsibilities: Support the Board of Multicultural Student Affairs (BMSA). Collaborate with the Director to advise the general body, executive board, and serve as the resource advisor for the 10+ clubs and organizations within BMSA. Support students in program planning, guide student decision-making, and attend BMSA events as the office representative. (30%) Ensure the successful facilitation of late-night and weekend student programming, including planning engaging programs, facilitating and promoting events, and scheduling event staff coverage. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student event staff to support programming. Coordinate ongoing assessment to identify best practices for student programming. (30%) Support essential functions of the office as assigned, including but not limited to new student orientation, spring concert, first-generation student programming, senior week, leadership development programs, and senior ring weekend. (20%) Collaborate with campus partners to assist in facilitating student programs that support the college’s commitment to a Beloved Community. Represent SEAL on divisional and college-wide committees to support these programs. (10%) Complete administrative responsibilities as assigned to support office functions, including but not limited to event approvals, contract review, financial paperwork, vendor relations, graduate assistant support, assessment, office coverage, and marketing. (10%) Marginal Duties: Perform all other duties as may be required. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required. Master’s degree in higher education/student affairs preferred. One to three years of professional experience in student affairs with significant programming experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Multicultural programming experience preferred. Experience planning and implementing large-scale programming. Experience advising student organizations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Schedule:

Monday through Friday 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the academic year.
