Material Handler/Grinder: (night shift 8p-8a $1.00 shift differential)
Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a Material Handler based out of Fort Mill, SC. Reporting to the PVC Extrusion Shift Lead this person's primary focus will be to package finished PVC pipe in proper crate quantities for shipment.
What you'll do:
Follow Grinding Schedule Weigh inventory Stage material for upcoming job Assist with Quality Control duties. (Monitor saw cuts, pipe length, and product color.) Perform inspections of product for proper print line and quality specifications Maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas. Housekeeping in assigned area All other assigned duties What you'll bring:
Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted All associates must embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability. Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete any required training Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role. Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
