Journeyman
Network and Computer System Administrator
to join our team in Charlottesville, VA in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). NGIC is the Defense Department's primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.
Job Responsibilities:
Cloud Operations Engineer; Responsible for fulfilling Tier 1-3 Tenant requests to include provisioning Tenant VPCs, configuring roles, and addressing tenant access requests. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and three (3) years' experience implementing security principles and administering IT systems. An additional six (6) years of experience administering IT systems may substitute for academic degree. 3+ years experience with programming, scripting, or markup languages, that may include golang, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Python, XML, JSON, or YAML. 1+ year experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using tools such as terraform. 3+ years' experience with Linux operating systems, containers, AWS, monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability and network security measures. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification (e.g., Security+ CE) Preferred Qualifications:
Linux Certification (Linux+, Oracle Certified Professional, LPIC, LFCS, RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA) AWS Certification
