ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will bridge the gap between Software Development, IT Operations, and Infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the release pipelines to ensure they are secure, reliable, and efficient. This role involves selecting and implementing the tools and processes that facilitate faster software development and deployment cycles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations, infrastructure, and development, and will support all stages of the application deployment lifecycle. This role requires independent work, problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver and maintain cutting-edge solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and manage deployment containers, automate deployment processes, and maintain scripts or configurations for monitoring and task automation. Deploy, maintain, and configure cloud infrastructure resources, Azure components, and networking systems. Lead release and change management efforts by developing and executing test scripts, validation plans, and rollback strategies. Ensure compliance and security standards are met, while managing roles and access permissions in line with IT governance policies. Provide technical guidance for resolving outages, incidents, and other challenges, offering solutions that improve system stability and efficiency. Create and maintain process documentation, policies, and procedures, collaborating with IT teams to ensure standards are adhered to across assigned applications. Optimize the deployment process by utilizing best practices for cloud resource management to control costs and increase efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. At least five (5) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a background in software development or infrastructure. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in creating, improving, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Three (3) or more years of experience with software development release tools, including containers, scripting, and workflows-especially Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, and Azure DevOps. Strong hands-on experience with container technologies and administering Azure cloud resources, including Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Networks, Azure DNS, ADLS, Cosmos DB, AppInsights, Key Vault, Application Gateways, API Management, Front Door, and Batch. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
