JOB SUMMARY:

The

Material Kitting Specialist

is critical to ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation of materials for manufacturing builds. This role involves gathering materials according to production orders, verifying part numbers and quantities, and ensuring all components are ready for use in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and familiarity with systems like SAP and Excel, which will be used for tracking and verifying inventory data. This role directly supports production efficiency by ensuring materials are accurate and available for manufacturing needs. SHIFT DETAILS:

Shift Schedule:

Continental shift from

Thursday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM , with Thursday being a

rotating day . Training Schedule:

Training will be conducted on a separate schedule until the official shift launch. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Preparation Order Gathering:

Accurately pick materials based on production orders, ensuring the correct parts and quantities are collected. Verification:

Cross-check gathered materials against production build lists to confirm accuracy. Labeling & Identification:

Properly label and organize materials for easy identification during manufacturing. Stock Replenishment:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for future builds and communicate shortages promptly. Inventory Integrity

System Updates:

Use SAP or other inventory management systems to record material transactions and updates. Discrepancy Resolution:

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical inventory. Cycle Counts:

Assist with periodic inventory counts to maintain accuracy. Data Management

Reporting:

Use Excel to create, update, and analyze material tracking and kitting reports. Data Accuracy:

Ensure all data entered into SAP or other systems is accurate and up to date. Collaboration & Communication

Cross-Team Coordination:

Work closely with warehouse, production, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate material delivery. Issue Escalation:

Notify supervisors or team leads about any material shortages or discrepancies that could impact production. Compliance & Safety

Safety Standards:

Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Procedural Adherence:

Ensure all kitting activities are conducted according to company policies and regulatory standards. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred:

Experience in material handling, inventory control, or a related role, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills

Proficiency with SAP or similar inventory management systems. Strong Excel skills for data tracking and reporting. Familiarity with production orders and material kitting processes. Soft Skills & Competencies

Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate material handling. Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration. Strong problem-solving abilities to address inventory discrepancies or material shortages. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements

Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) preferred. Understanding of and adherence to workplace safety standards.
