Position Summary
As the face of Library and Technology Services (LTS) to the College's Development Office, the IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in empowering the Development office to use technology to their strategic advantage. The Analyst achieves this by providing comprehensive support for a range of enterprise applications that are essential for Development Office staff. As part of a dedicated team with a proven track record in driving digital transformation at the College, the IT Business Analyst collaborates with Development Office staff to leverage technology solutions that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ultimately drive successful fundraising outcomes.
The IT Business Analyst serves as a trusted technology partner and advisor to the Development Office. By understanding the unique needs of fundraisers and related staff members, the Analyst proactively identifies opportunities to leverage technology solutions to optimize fundraising strategies and activities.
The IT Business Analyst will become deeply familiar with the specific software ecosystem used by the Development Office, including Salesforce, Affinaquest, Apsona, Blackthorn, Form Assembly, and Finalsite, as well as niche fundraising platforms like ThankView and GiveCampus. This in-depth knowledge will enable the Analyst to provide tailored support and guidance to ensure that Development Office staff can effectively utilize these tools to achieve their fundraising goals.
In addition to supporting the Development Office, the IT Business Analyst provides essential technology support to the Alumnae Association. This includes assisting with their alumnae engagement platform and supporting the execution of large-scale events, such as Reunion. By offering dedicated guidance and ensuring effective use of technology, the Analyst helps the Alumnae Association strengthen connections with its members and achieve its engagement goals.
This is a hybrid role and when on-site the position is expected to work at the Wellesley College campus in Wellesley, MA. Details about further hybrid specifics will be discussed during the interview process. A relocation package is not available for this position.
Position Responsibility Facilitate discovery, design, testing, configuration, training, and documentation to deliver timely, budget-friendly projects that meet user and College needs. Collaborate with functional leaders, departments, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy improved business processes. Analyze technical, functional, and business requirements to provide actionable recommendations. Oversee administrative functions, including user account management, profiles, permission sets, reports, workflows, and application support. Manage customizations such as building automations, formula fields, views, sharing rules, and other intermediate complexity tasks. Support Core Teams by monitoring support queues and promptly resolving database platform issues. Coordinate enterprise application upgrades, patches, and releases, ensuring smooth rollouts and effective user communication. Investigate and resolve issues related to data, integration, and reporting integrity while maintaining database security and functionality. Act as a liaison between College departments and LTS groups, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration. Basic Qualifications
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in relevant field Experience Required:
5+ years of experience in a relevant technical field, preferably within higher education. Familiarity and experience with applications in our technology portfolio is a plus. Skills and Abilities

Prior experience working in or supporting fundraising, development, or alumnae relations operations. Salesforce Ecosystem:
Proficiency in managing and supporting applications within the Salesforce ecosystem with proven ability to implement sustainable technical solutions and to manage the end user experience. Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines. Database Management:
Hands-on experience with relational databases, including designing, maintaining, and generating reports, as well as expertise in data retrieval and reporting tools. Business Analysis:
