Tier I Intrusion Analyst
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active
Top Secret or DOE "Q"
clearance or the ability to obtain a
Top Secret or DOE "Q"
clearance to be considered.
We are seeking a Tier 1 Intrusion Analyst to work in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position requires proactive monitoring, detection, and investigation of network and system intrusions. You will interact with security personnel, management, and external agencies while researching evolving threats and maintaining security best practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Tier I Intrusion Analyst : $65,000 to $70,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Tier I Intrusion Analyst Responsibilities Include: Monitor and analyze network activity to identify potential intrusions or malicious behavior. Investigate security events using logs, packet captures, and IDS/IPS systems. Research vulnerabilities, exploits, and evolving cyber threats. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of network protocols and security techniques. Provide incident analysis, reporting, and remediation recommendations. Ensure compliance with NIST NICE Framework for Intrusion Analysts. Perform log correlation, suspicious activity tracking, and malicious code identification. Collaborate with team members and provide exceptional customer service. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Tier I Intrusion Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience 3+ years of IT or cybersecurity experience. Strong networking and information security knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and network intrusion analysis preferred. Certifications such as SANS GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, or OSCP preferred. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company Information:
