Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Consultant (TAC) partners with business leaders to identify, build relationships with, and select diverse people with the mindset, values, training and skills to be successful at Connecticut Children's. The TAC provides both candidates and hiring leaders with an excellent experience and applies standard process to ensure that the hiring cycle is compliant with all internal policy and external regulations. The TAC participates in process improvement projects.
Responsibilities
Partners with business leaders to determine staffing needs and facilitates discussion on strategy and service level agreements Proactively develops diverse talent pipeline, seeking out talent, nurturing relationships, assessing talent ahead of business demand to meet strategic talent goals Strategizes and selects sourcing strategies to attract and identify diverse, qualified candidates for consideration Builds valued and trusted advisory relationships with leaders at all levels Interviews and collaborates with hiring managers on feedback with hiring managers to support effective hiring decisions. Facilitates and implements the hiring process using established policies and practices as a framework for selection and hiring. Participates in process improvement activities and projects or initiatives in partnership with others in TA, HR or other teams. Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Required:
Minimum of High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required. Education and/or Experience Preferred:
BS or BA in Human Resources, business or related field strongly preferred. At least Three (3) years of experience in Talent Acquisition and/or as a Human Resources Consultant (HRBP) required; healthcare experience preferred. Experience with applicant tracking systems and talent sourcing tools strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge:
Strong business acumen Talent Acquisition analytic knowledge and skills Knowledge of organization branding and integration with Talent Acquisition Knowledge of Federal, state and local employment laws Up to date on current industry and technology trends in the field of Talent Acquisition Skills:
Sound, relevant computer skills, including web sourcing and social media. Establishes clear courses of action to ensure that work is organized, managed and completed effectively Ability to think creatively to develop and implement innovative solutions Maintains effectiveness when experiencing changes in work tasks/situations; flexible and adaptable Demonstrated skills in influencing, diplomacy, negotiation, collaboration and relationship building Outstanding communication, both oral and written, strong listening skills presentation and facilitation skills Models resiliency and innovation in all interactions with leaders, staff, applicants, and candidates Ability to:
Ability to build strong partner relationships with leaders. Able to adapt style and work with all levels of employees. Self-directed and drives programs and change in appropriate pace, manner, and style. Strategic thinker: ability to apply a systems approach model.
