The Sr. Director of National Sales and Service will manage and develop members of national sales & service team including directors, Corporate Account Executives (CAE), and Corporate Account Coordinators (CAC). Identify development opportunities and training support requirements as a key component of ongoing team management. Team will manage a large portfolio of business with sales of roughly $800 million. Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of strong customer relationships with existing and potential national clients to meet sales objectives. Responsible for executing contracts and account and brand penetration. Oversee the development of specific action plans to achieve planned performance targets. Team may be dedicated to GPO or non-GPO business. Dedicated GPO team will be responsible for executing GPO contract requirements.
This position has been segmented as 100% Remote/Virtual meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.
Responsibilities:
Provide team leadership thru the hiring, training, and on-going leadership of national sales & service team. Serve as a coach and mentor for a diverse organization that includes directors, CAE's and CAC's. Conduct semi-annual and annual reviews with team members. Develops and implements strategies for key national accounts and Hospitality to meet assigned sales and profitability objectives (a min of approx. $800 mil/annually). Manage portfolio of customers to GPO specific contract requirements. Serve as a SME on GPO program requirements. Provide a road map for customer contracting activity to drive sales growth to aligned suppliers by utilizing USF Category Management review process. Manage the relevant communication and education to field, sales personnel and Support Office staff to assure understanding of contract elements and business objectives to provide service excellence. Maintain and strengthen the customer relationship by understanding and responding to customer needs and market conditions in a timely and effective manner utilizing appropriate resources as need. Collaborate and with field organization to drive revenue objectives, contract compliance, brand alignment and customer satisfaction. Monitor utilization of contracts, division performance, and manage the resolution of supplier issues associated with contract pursuit and execution. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with customers. Provide senior leadership information necessary to maintain field sales focus on customers and USF objectives. Frequent overnight travel required. Supervision:

Education/Training:
Bachelor degree in related field or comparable experience required. Related Experience:
Minimum 10 years foodservice sales experience required. Extensive Premier and GPO program knowledge and relationships required. Demonstrated positive customer interfacing experience also required. Prior national account/hospitality experience preferred. Experience dealing with large regional or national multi-location chains strongly desired. Minimum of 5-7 years of managerial experience leading a team. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills - relationship builder Ability to leverage relationships to achieve business goals, strategic thinking skills, strong business acumen and business maturity required. Must have excellent oral/written communication skills, be well organized with strong follow through. Strong leadership and team building skills with proven results orientation also required.
Universal pay verbiage:
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $110,000 - $180,000.
