You will support the VGI Business Development Director, playing a key role in the sales pipeline process to ensure the delivery of winning proposals and pursuits. You will liaison with mission partners, both internal/external, for proposal delivery to include pre-proposal shaping activities, capture activities during the proposal phase, and post-submittal closure activities. The Proposal & Marketing Specialist also works closely with the VGI leadership team in developing targeted marketing efforts to enhance brand awareness and drive new partnership growth.JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and execute Verite proposal response(s) in a dynamic, small team environment (e.g., proposal writing, editing, production efforts) from opportunity identification and receipt of RFP, through proposal delivery and government notification. Manage proposal schedules and deadlines and develop supporting artifacts such as: proposal outline & delivery planning, compliance matrix, and storyboarding. Aid in shaping and Integrating capture artifacts, customer values, win themes, value propositions and discriminators into VGI proposal responses. Capable of leading all aspects of proposal volume development, including Technical, Management, Past Performance, Security, Basis of Estimate, Contracts, Executive Summary, Integrated Master Schedule, and Plans. Participate in strategy meetings, technical solution sessions, and storyboarding efforts. Coordinate and lead major project meeting events, such as: Kick-off Meetings, Black Hat, and Color Team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, and Gold). Analyze solicitations (e.g., RFP, RFQ, RFI) in conjunction with other customer requirements and communications to determine final document(s) structure. Identify and meet established deliverables and production deadlines to lead the collection and editing of proposal materials to ensure compliance. Provide general editing of written material, writing and reusing content, proofreading, and performing quality check of written content to meet deadline constraints. Verify documents are submitted in accordance with established guidelines, confirm instructions and evaluations criteria are addressed, and to monitor and remain current on all solicitation amendments and/or modifications to the solicitation. Maintain and update organization's online presence and marketing materials. Collaborate with the leadership and internal team to execute marketing programs. Maintain content and updates for customer and internal stakeholders, support the documentation of business processes, and support business development activities. Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets. Understand and apply lessons learned to future activities in coordination with leadership.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Currently have or be eligible for a TS / Top Secret Security Clearance A bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant professional experience in proposals and/or marketing. Team player and team builder who is a self-starter and highly organized. Proposal experience on a variety of competitive opportunities including a relevant mix of program types, complexities, products, technologies, and customers. Experience in hands-on responsibility supporting multiple capture efforts in a cleared environment with DoD or Intel Community clients. Strong organizational management skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a matrixed environment with all levels of the organization, up to and including senior management. Have management skills to direct and orchestrate proposal team efforts. Ability to conceptualize and write and/or edit compelling proposal narrative. Capable to generate briefing and presentation materials/slides from scratch. Effective at presentation delivery, effective oral communication skills Function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Able to perform with minimal direction and handle multiple tasks. Have a working knowledge of Shipley proposal strategies, MS Office business applications, Agile software, or other proposal management tools.DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Information Technology, Marketing, Communication, or a business-related discipline Preferred).
