Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
Document Indexing Specialists are responsible for performing all work steps required for capturing, indexing, and storing patient/client documents while maintaining the highest regard for security and confidentiality. This includes preparing, scanning, making content findable, reviewing, and delivering documents to patient/client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for entering patient accounts and assigning to appropriate internal user for processing. Monitors the quality of documents during indexing review. Prepares, sorts, reviews, updating information to appropriate patient files by typing names, account numbers, dates of service, and insurance information in appropriate batch category. Matches corresponding paperwork to accounts. Sorts, matches, and research appeals, claims, and other documents for the RCM Billing Teams. Provides training on indexing order entry details as necessary. Meets quality and deadline standards by the effective use of job scheduling practices. Maintains defined productivity and accuracy standards for indexing /order entry while adhering to all expectations regarding Company policies and quality measures. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Basic Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum of 2 years of experience and proven competence in the clerical field. Must demonstrate keen attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience using an electronic document management system required, OnBase preferred. Proficiency in use of Adobe Acrobat. High School Diploma or GED required. Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel. Desired Characteristics: Excellent attention to detail.
