The Larson Group Peterbilt , is looking for an experienced
Production Manager
to join our dynamic team. The PDI Center Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the Production Department. Responsible for ensuring New Trucks from the manufacturer are upfit, inspected, and delivered to the appropriate Customer or location while meeting customer specifications. This position will manage performance, staffing, product quality, and projects for the PDI Center Production Department.

Develops daily/weekly production schedule and assigns workload to Production teams. Works closely with the Parts Department to ensure that all needed parts are ordered and staged in a timely manner. Oversees billing processes to ensure proper billing versus quote provided. Develops/oversees quality control processes to ensure the highest standard of quality. Works closely with TLG Delivery Center Quality Control Technician(s) to ensure the highest quality product possible is being delivered. Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities. Communicates findings as necessary to TLG Delivery Center Operations Manager. Responsible for scheduling work through the Delivery Center for all shifts. Responsible for recruiting, development, morale, and guidance of all shop personnel. Provides oversight and management of the warranty and policy processes while working closely with the Central Warranty Department to ensure metrics are met. Reviews short and long-term operating and financial objectives laid out by TLG Delivery Center Operations Manager and aligns Production Department to meet those goals. Maintains repair order closure rate of under 15 days and 5-day lag and desired efficiency and productivity levels. Maintains, records, and reports on all phases of Delivery Center activities. Attends weekly Delivery Center staff meetings. Attends/leads weekly Production meetings and reviews key points including but not limited to: KPI, WIP, EFF, Productivity, and Safety. Coordinates efforts with Peterbilt Motors, Active USA, and other local support services to achieve quality and unsurpassed customer satisfaction. Purchases tools and equipment required to maximize the efficiency of the Delivery Center. Ensures safety rules and TLG policies are followed in all aspects of Production. Maintains familiarity with activities of competition, market conditions, and Delivery Center operations. Keeps Operations Manager informed of all pertinent Delivery Center activities. Coordinates and oversees technician training programs. Maintains an online training average of 95% or better and a classroom of 85% or better for Delivery Center. Ensures safety, security, and appearance/cleanliness of the building and vehicle maintenance. Any other areas of Delivery Center operation not stated in description as assigned by Management. Qualifications:
Must have a High school diploma and 3 years of management experience in an automotive shop or similar industry. A college degree in Business administration is preferred but not required. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft office suite program. Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
