Job Description: As a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions in a dynamic, collaborative work environment. This position requires a seasoned professional who combines the skills of a Senior Business Analyst with Systems Analyst expertise. You will support diverse business lines by analyzing, designing, and implementing new features, enhancements, and platform integrations while troubleshooting and resolving production issues. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate exceptional meeting facilitation, time management, and communication skills while managing shifting priorities. Perform scaled BSA activities for various assignments, ensuring SDLC processes are followed. Elicit, document, and communicate business needs using JAD sessions, interviews, surveys, and other techniques. Formulate well-structured user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with the business vision. Conduct build-vs-buy analysis for project requests, examining strategic alignment and cost/benefit considerations. Collaborate with technical teams to develop logical system designs and ensure integration requirements are met. Create and manage source/target mappings for data integration while adapting processes for new requirements. Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify that solutions meet acceptance criteria. Provide mentorship to junior team members, enhancing their BSA skillsets. Engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels to set expectations, resolve conflicts, and drive priorities.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, demonstrating a blend of business analysis and systems analysis expertise. Experience supporting HR systems and eCommerce implementation is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Strong knowledge of web and client/server application concepts. Ability to gather integration requirements, assess data sources, and define data mappings. Understanding of system impacts from changes and the ability to make logical design recommendations. Expertise in producing thorough user stories and supporting technical design sessions. Effective meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities. Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical audiences. Capacity to manage and balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Experience with process documentation, including RFPs, SOWs, and business process flows. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices. Ability to collaborate with QA and technical teams to ensure robust testing and quality solutions.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
